Christmas Lights Purse Charm Chain — Printable Files (STL + 3MF)
$14.99
You get both files — the Bambu 3MF with my settings dialed in, and a plain STL for every other slicer.
Holiday parties, cookie swaps, Christmas markets, and every "wait, where did you get that?" in between.
This Christmas lights purse charm chain drapes across your bag like a strand of old-school C9 bulbs — nine red and green lights swinging from a black cord. Clip it to a tote, purse strap or diaper bag and your everyday carry is dressed for December.
✨ What makes my files different
🎄 It prints in place. Every link is its own piece, printed already linked together, so it comes off the plate as one flexible, swinging chain. No assembly, no glue, no pins.
🎯 My custom settings come inside the 3MF. Every download includes a Bambu 3MF project file with all of my own custom print settings already saved in it — the exact settings, orientation and plate layout I landed on after testing this design over and over. No guessing at a profile and hoping it works. Open the project, press print, and your chain comes out just like mine.
🎨 Almost every piece can be its own color. This is the part people don't expect. Most files you buy are one solid shape — one object, one color. Mine aren't. This chain is 48 separate parts, so you can click on any bulb, socket or link in your slicer and give it its own color. Go classic red and green, do an all-silk strand, or make a rainbow of bulbs — it's completely yours.
You won't find many files with this much detail you can customize. Only have one color? It prints beautifully in a single color too.
What's in the download
- Bambu 3MF — the whole chain already placed on the plate with my custom print settings saved in, and every link, socket and bulb its own part so you can color it however you want. Open it and print.
- Plain STL — for every other slicer, if you'd rather set it up yourself.
Size and print details
- About 30 cm (12 in) end to end, with the bulbs hanging about 5 cm (2 in).
- Needs a 256 × 256 mm bed. The chain lies corner to corner on the plate, so it fits a Bambu P2S, P1S, X1 or A1 — but not an A1 mini or other 180 mm printers.
- About 9½ hours on my P2S with an AMS.
- No supports · no glue · no assembly.
- The 3MF comes color-assigned for green, red and black. The one in my photos has cream sockets — click the 9 sockets and give them a fourth color to match.
- To hang it, add a lobster clasp to each end loop (clasps not included — any craft store has them).
Why the 3MF is the one you want
An STL is only a shape. It carries no layer height, no speeds, no orientation — the format has nowhere to put them. So you download it, your slicer applies whatever profile you happen to have loaded, and you find out whether that works by printing it.
A 3MF is a project file. It carries the geometry and the settings, already applied. That's what you're actually paying for — not the shape, but the failed prints I already did to work out what the settings needed to be.
How to open it
Use File → Open Project, or drag the .3mf into the window. Open Project, not Import Model — Import Model takes the shape and throws the settings away, which defeats the point.

Common questions
What's the difference between the STL and the 3MF?
The STL is just the shape — you'd set up all the print settings yourself. The 3MF is the shape plus my settings, already applied.
Do I need a Bambu printer?
No. The 3MF is set up for Bambu, and the plain STL prints on any FDM printer with a 256 × 256 mm bed.
Will it fit my printer?
You need a 256 × 256 mm build plate. It won't fit an A1 mini or other 180 mm printers.
Do I have to put it together?
No. It prints in place — the links print already connected, so it comes off the plate as one moving chain.
Can I print it in multiple colors?
Yes — and that's my favorite part. Almost every piece is its own separate part, so you can give each bulb, socket and link its own color in your slicer. It works great on an AMS or any multi-color setup, and it still prints in one color if that's what you have.
What do I need to hang it?
Two lobster clasps or split rings, one on each end loop. They aren't included.
Can I sell what I print?
Not with this download — it's a personal use license. If you'd like to sell prints, email support@3dprintedmom.com and ask.
Is this a physical product?
No, it's a digital download — you get the files, nothing ships.
