Digital Product License Agreement

Version 1.2 — effective 7 September 2026.

3DPRINTEDMOM LLC — Digital Product License Agreement

When you buy a digital file from us, you are buying a license to use it. You are not buying the design itself, and the copyright stays with us. This page explains exactly what you can and cannot do, in plain language, because we would rather you knew than guessed.

1. Definitions

1.1 “Files” means any STL, 3MF, STEP, slicer profile, PDF, image or other digital asset we deliver to you.
1.2 “Design” means the underlying artistic work the Files embody.
1.3 “We”, “us” and “our” mean 3DPRINTEDMOM LLC, a Nebraska limited liability company.
1.4 Every digital purchase comes with the Personal License described below. That is the license you have unless we have granted you something different in writing.

2. Personal License

2.1 Print as many copies as you like, on printers you own or personally operate.
2.2 Give printed copies away as gifts, free of charge.
2.3 Modify the Files for your own printing.
2.4 You may not sell, trade, barter or accept anything of value for printed copies — including at craft fairs and markets, on online marketplaces, or through “donation” or “cost recovery” arrangements.
2.5 You may not share, resell, gift, post, mirror or otherwise distribute the Files or any modified or derived version, in whole or in part, to anyone. That includes file-sharing sites, model repositories, Discord servers, shared cloud drives and print-on-demand upload forms.
2.6 You may not upload the Files to a commercial print service or print farm to produce copies you intend to sell.
2.7 You may not use the Design, or renders or photographs of it, in paid advertising or as part of any product or service you sell.

3. Selling what you print

3.1 The Personal License does not allow you to sell anything you print.
3.2 We do sometimes grant separate written commercial licenses. If you would like to sell items printed from one of our designs, email support@3dprintedmom.com, tell us which design and what you have in mind, and we will let you know whether it is available and what it costs.
3.3 You have a commercial license only if we have issued you a signed written agreement and a numbered License Certificate. Nothing on this website, and no informal reply to a question, grants one.
3.4 Not every design can be licensed commercially, and we are not obliged to grant a license.

4. Term and termination

4.1 Your license begins when payment clears and continues until terminated.
4.2 It terminates automatically, without notice, if you breach any term of this Agreement, or if your payment is reversed, refunded or charged back, or if the order is found to be fraudulent.
4.3 On termination you must stop all use, stop selling printed copies, and delete every copy of the Files in your possession or control.
4.4 Continued use after termination is copyright infringement, not merely a breach of this Agreement.

5. Ownership and file marking

5.1 We retain all right, title and interest in the Designs and Files, including all copyrights.
5.2 Files may contain markers that identify the purchase they came from. You may not remove, alter or obscure them.

6. No warranty

6.1 Files are provided “as is”. Print results depend on your printer, filament, slicer and settings, and we do not warrant that any Design will print successfully on your equipment.
6.2 We do not warrant that a printed copy is fit for any structural, load-bearing, protective, medical, automotive, electrical, food-contact or child-use purpose. Please read our Product Safety page before printing or using anything.

7. Limitation of liability

7.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to this Agreement or any Design will not exceed the amount you paid us for that Design in the 12 months before the claim.
7.2 We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost sales or wasted material.
7.3 Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you are a consumer, this Agreement does not affect your statutory rights.

8. Your responsibility for what you print

8.1 You are solely responsible for the safety, compliance, labeling and legality of anything you print.
8.2 This includes consumer product safety rules, children’s product testing and certification, choking-hazard labeling, and food-contact suitability.
8.3 You will indemnify and hold us harmless against any claim arising from your printing, modification, sale or distribution of anything made from the Files.

9. Enforcement

9.1 We monitor marketplaces, model repositories and file-sharing sites, and issue takedown notices.
9.2 If you breach this Agreement you agree to pay our reasonable costs of enforcement, including attorneys’ fees, to the extent permitted by law.

10. General

10.1 This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Venue is Sarpy County, Nebraska.
10.2 We may update this Agreement. The version in effect on the date of your purchase governs that purchase.
10.3 If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
